OCIA is for people who are interested in joining the Catholic Church, whether
unbaptized or baptized into another Christian denomination. It is also for baptized
Catholics who wish to go deeper into their faith or return to full Communion with the Church. Participants may receive the sacraments they require including Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
OCIA is a combination of instruction, prayer, retreats, and rituals to provide an
experience of God as well as information about what we believe.
Conversion takes time. Committing oneself to gospel values and perspectives on
every level of life requires a change of heart that cannot be accomplished by an
educational program alone. The initiation of adults aims at changing the heart and
transforming the spirit, not just supplying a bank of knowledge, so the OCIA includes all aspects of parish life.
Classes begin October 2025 and are held Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and run through the Easter Season 2026.
To register, please fill out the questionnaire below. Questions can be directed to Fr. Paul or our OCIA Instructor, Chris Bushman, cbman@comcast.net
